Maceration:  

Organic Calendula Butter is made using the traditional method of gradually macerating medicinal calendula. During the maceration, the calendula blooms (Calendula officinalis) are marinated in high-quality Organic Shea Butter PURITY VISION® for several weeks. During this time, the flowers’ calming strength is passed into the macerate. Because medicinal calendula, together with Organic Shea Butter, has a very gentle aroma, this product is sure to be appreciated by people sensitive to fragrances as well as those who simply prefer indistinct aromas.
